Who We Are

Thai Jurong Engineering Limited (TJEL) was incorporated in December 1988 by Jurong Engineering Limited (JEL) of Singapore alongside local businessmen. Our company’s primary business pillars encompass engineering and construction services in the power generation sector, and the occasional plant erection for other industrial plant and infrastructure projects.

Since inception, TJEL has become an experienced contractor for power plant projects in Thailand, with an unmatched local presence and a healthy international portfolio comprising Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, South Africa and more. We have successfully completed erection work for power plants, steel mills, dam gates and passenger loading bridges projects and offer an extensive scope of services.

In 2016, we established a separate department to undertake standalone civil and architectural works predominantly in the power and industrial sectors, and in 2018 we penetrated the petrochemical industry.

At our core, human resource remains unwaveringly our key asset. Instead of relying on subcontractors to provide the manpower, TJEL prides itself on employing direct-hired staff and workers to execute the projects. During peak times, we register a dedicated workforce of nearly 3000 strong.
